CORMA DI MACHABY:
GRUVIERA

APPROACH:
From the parking lot, cross the road, walk through the vineyard and wear your climbing shoes!
A big buttress at the base of the Corma di Machaby, with more than 30 routes.
Vineyards are private property, therefore be respectful!
CLIMBING:
This area offers both single-pitches and 3-4 pitch routes, from 4c up. Name and grade of the routes at the base.
Among others "Topo pazzo" (2-pitch route of 5 and 5c on excellent gneiss), "Barbapapà" (3-pitch route of 5c and 6c), "Platters" (a 5 slab climb), "Fessura" (30m of 5c crack climb) and "Excalibur" (30m of 6a+) are worth climbing.
On the left side, beyond "Barbapapà", there are "Esercito 1", "Esercito 2" and "Esercito 3". I climbed the second one (5b or so): not so fun...
