Tel. Remondino Refuge: +39-0171-97327 - Refuge keeper 0174-585346
Both refuges are open in the summer (from mid / end of May). In order to obtain info about snow conditions and to book overnights, please contact refuge keepers.
Both refuges can be reached by hiking trails, driving up the Gesso valley and, if the dirt road allows, up the Vallone della Valletta.
Drive/Approach:
From Cuneo drive to Borgo S.Dalmazzo on route SS 20 (alternatively, from Mondovì toll booth drive up to Cuneo, passing through Pianfei and Peveragno and then Borgo S.Dalmazzo); turn right, taking the road leading to Gesso valley.
At the fork beyond Valdieri, take a right to Terme di Valdieri. Here take a left and drive along the Vallone della Valletta: the last part of this road is a dirt road. Drive up to while the road is still travelable (you can find some wide stretches along the road where you can park). At this point, you should notice a sign showing the path to Bozano Ref. and, after a few kilometers, the trail to Remondino Ref. (both trails are on the left side of the road).

Hikes:
To Bozano Ref.: From Gias delle Mosche at 1591 m. follow the steep trail heading South-East on the left side of the dirt road. At the Gias del Saut (1847 m.), slope becomes less steep and goes up through the Valle dell'Argentera. At 2070 m. turn left twice and than right to NNE: the trail is again steeper. After some scree stripes you will reach the refuge at 2453 m of altitude (elevation gain: 850 m. - 2,5 hours).
To Remondino Ref.: Before the end of the dirt road (a few kilometers after the fork to Bozano Ref. - on a wide and straight strip), a trail begins on the left side; it becomes steeper and steeper and passing through boulders and larches, it enter the green Vallone Assedras. After an easier slope, at about 2070 m., leave the fork on the right (leading to Mercantour Pass) and hike up between boulders, scree and grassy cliffs up to the refuge (elevation gain: 700 m. - 2 hours).
