This area offers classic climbing routes.
The first of them was "Pesce d'Aprile" ("April fools' day") established in 1973.
The origin of the name is due to a joke played by Kosterlitz and Motti on the party that was following them: Manera, Bianco and Morello.
Kosterlitz and Motti climbed placing nuts, a kind of gear not yet known in Piemonte.
Manera, the leader of the second party, didn't hear them drive pitons. Therefore, to be second to none, he ascended almost all the route without placing protection.
Manera and his friends found out about the joke only on the summit when they saw Kosterlitz and Motti dangling those unknown pieces of gear!
