LAC BLANC:
from Veulla (1300 m.) to Lac Blanc (2154 m)

INFO: good, marked trail, partly cobbled. Wonderful views of the surrounding valleys and of mount Cervino too.

TRAIL:
From the car park follow the cobbled and flat track reaching Magazzino and then the Lac de Serva (1806 m., 1h 40m). Follow the path, cross the Chalamy stream, reach Cousse mountain resort at 2060 m. and continue ahead up to the Barbustel refuge, situated just above the Lac Blanc (2154 m. - about 1h from the Lac Serva). From here you can follow the same path back or descend by the trail no. 5: hike downhill to the Lac Vallet, veer right going around it until you find a trail that turns sharp left. Pass along the slopes of the Mont Grimon (where a recent landslide has almost destroyed a wooden bridge): here the landscape is completely different: more arid and stony. Ignore the first detour on the left (trail 5c) and reach a viewpoint above the wonderful, heartshaped Lac de Leser. Follow trail no.5 and turn left: go through the wood and continue up to Veulla.
